Secretarial Audit- Fraud Detection and Reporting The term Fraud can be defined as 'dishonestly obtaining a benefir, or causing a loss, by deception or other means. More specifically fraud is defined by Black's Law Dictionary as: 1. A knowing misrepresentation of the truth or concealment of a material fact to incduce another to act to his or her detriment. 2. A misrepresentation made recklessly without belief in its truth to induce another person to act.
